Ellen Pine

Upon getting married, Ellen Pine and her partner both kept their last names. When having a son last February, at first they considered giving him a hyphenated last name but thought it would be too much of a hassle for him. Ellen felt strongly about the last name Pine being part of her son’s name, whereas her partner didn’t feel as strong, so they decided to give him Ellen’s last name and her partner’s as his middle name.
