My grandpa made it up when he came to America. He was a German Jew fleeing Nazi Germany. He went on to work as a medic for the American soldiers and wanted to revoke any and all German nationalism. Figured that Summers was much more American sounding than Zolmets so he changed it but spelled it a little funny.

It’s Jocelyn’s last name. My middle name is Kathy’s last name.
